Check out the all new KidZone, an enchanting playground “under the sea,” and experience seven different touch exhibits to get up close and personal with sharks, stingrays and more. Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world where you can see hippos nose-to-nose, and the only aquarium in the country with Great Hammerhead Sharks – among the largest and rarest of sharks!

Add two million gallons of fun, a 40-foot suspended Shark Tunnel, a 4D Theater (sponsored by PSE&G) and free live shows and up-close animal experiences daily, and it’s clear to see why a trip to Adventure Aquarium promises to deliver family memories that will last a lifetime.

Like its sister aquarium, the Newport Aquarium in Newport, KY, Adventure Aquarium is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), which means its held to the absolute highest standards in animal care and exhibition.

I was traveling with a group of students when two of us had to unexpectedly overnight in Philly (thanks, American Airlines). So to kill time waiting for our flight the next day and to avoid the heat of the city we went to Adventure Aquarium. This is a great place to fill our time and was pretty engaging. They have several different touch tanks throughout the aquarium. The staff are incredibly nice. The walk over Shark Tank and the hippos had to absolutely be my favorite. during our visit they were remodeling the cafeteria and so are eating options were incredibly limited to a hot dog or cheeseburger at a snack bar but I imagine once the cafeteria is completed that things will get much better. Overall great visit.

We have memberships this year and honestly this place is small. The visit is usually 2.5 to 3 hrs. My sons love sharks and the exhibit didn't have enough species. When taking my kids there for a second time, my 5 years old didn't want to go because it was boring. Do yourself a favor and go to the Baltimore Aquarium. The shark tank has many levels and overall it's a better aquarium with so much to see! We won't be getting memberships here anymore unless they expand some more.

We came here many times. The kids love it. Lots of parking and we used the membership for a better deal. Mots of animal and kids love touching exhibition. They also have kids area to play. Great good and lots of space. Place can be really crowded and we always come on regular day to beat the crowd. Favorite place is the shark tunnel.

I recommend I take my 2 girls and we had more than expected. The food very rich and of all tastes I recommend you buy the food option a lot of variety and you can take what you like. the super friendly assistants happy and friendly. I recommend that they touch the manta rays. It was a beautiful day for the whole family.

A very nice place to visit. The Hippos were a highlight for the family. We also enjoyed walking through the cargo nets above the Shark tank. There are more sharks there than I have ever seen at an aquarium. We took the ferry over from Philly, it was only a few dollars and took 15 minutes. The gift shop was reasonable but the cafeteria was not appealing. I recommend you make the trip if you like to look at aquatic life.
