Essex Youth Theater is a not-for-profit performing arts school for children ages 4-12.We offer a unique program, utilizing custom-written scripts that give equal roles to all students.Class size is kept small, so that each child may receive ample individual attention.Sessions also incorporate acting exercises, theater games and improvsations that help students express their imaginations and develop dramatic skills.Every semester culminates with each class performing their own full-scale musical production.
Essex Youth Theater strives to provide a supportive, nurturing environment where every student can blossom, in which self-esteem and self-confidence are emphasized.Each child is gently encouraged to explore their natural creativity while building theatrical skills in a non-competitive setting.Essex Youth Theater also promotes personal discipline in each individual and trust and cooperation among class members.Finally, through our productions, we endeavor to give our students the opportunity to experience that indescribable sense of accomplishment that comes through the joy of performing.At Essex Youth Theater, every child is a star.
