In 2013 GSCF founder Dave O’Hare, an avid comic art collector dreamed of bringing a comic event to northern NJ like it had never seen. With the help of his partner Sal Zurzolo and a $20 poker bet for motivation Garden State Comic Fest was born. With its first show ever held in January of 2014 at the Quality Inn in Ledgewood NJ
