Hillsborough Family Fun and Music Fest

The Hillsborough Music Festival was created in 2008 by Donnetta Bishop-Johnson, founder and owner of the Allegra School of Music & Arts  to celebrate the talent of Hillsborough and surrounding communities. Having attended many outstanding music festivals in the tri-state area, she believed that Hillsborough would greatly benefit from one of its own.

The proceeds for this event will again benefit the My Son Your Daughter Jonah Johnson Youth Scholarship Fund which is dedicated to suicide prevention and anti-violence education in our local school systems along with scholarships in the arts for post-secondary students. Some of the festival proceeds will also support BoroSafe, a Hillsborough suicide education organization that was formed to address the serious and increasing problem of suicide in the Hillsborough school system. This year’s festival is co-sponsored by Hillsborough Township.

Local businesses have been thrilled to part of a movement to make Hillsborough an arts destination. Vendors and crafts people will also be invited to join in. We are very excited about this year’s event that will be held at the Hillsborough Promenade with generous support from Applebee's Restaurant and surrounding businesses.
