About Us:

The Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum, founded in 1957, is committed to bringing awareness to issues facing the natural world and to showcasing the artists woho are inspired by it. Hiram Blauvelt was an early conservationist. Through the contirbution of his private wildlife art and big game collections, he hoped to promote the cultural value of wildlife art and the need for its conservation.

The museum is located in an 1893 shingle and turret-style carriage house. The collection on the main floor consists of minigalleries which feature an Audubon folio, extinct birds.
