So much fun! My two year old said "wow" a minimun of fifty times. My wife and I had as much fun as he did. The exhibits were big, all the animals looked healthy to my untrained eye. The place was clean, busy but not too crowded. We touched stingrays and watched feeding time for the seal. It was a great afternoon and will definitely be back.
A wonderful little aquarium, Jenkinson's offers stunning moments to see and interact with nature's beautiful marine animals and birds. The aquarium features educational material pertaining to several global and local environmental causes. For film buffs, the aquarium also houses a very large movie set model used for Mutiny on the Bounty. The restrooms are very clean and the water inside runs hot. I only took off a star in my rating because the aquarium rarely features marine flora. The kelp forest is a notable exception.
I have been coming here with my eldest daughter since the day she was born as a place for dad and daughter time and now that I have my second daughter we both come here together as a thing that Dad in the girls to do together. Yes it's small yes there's not that much attractions but you know what it's an aquarium on the boardwalk what are you people expecting it's nice enough to Jenkinson's is saving these animals giving them refuge and on top of that making sure that they're treated the best they can be over all. If you listen to them and read the exhibits you can tell and see that some of these animals cannot be released into the wild after being kept captive or rescued in the first place just like two seals. Their one seal passed away and let me tell you my daughter knew about it and she's very upset but yeah Jenkinson's was nice enough to give a farewell to her and let everyone know how love that seal was. I will continue coming here as long as my daughters want to and as long as they're open to the public we will always be loyal customers of Jenkinson's Aquarium.
Great place for younger kids, plenty to see and learn about local wildlife, various programs throughout the year. Winter months are a good team to visit as well when they have discounted days.
Its a nice aquarium. Lots of cool marine life as well as local wildlife. Conveniently located on the board walk.
